Lamayuru - The Moonscape for Tourist

It is known as the Moonland of Ladakh and situated at a distance of 115 km(s) from Leh, one can easily cover Lamayuru in a day return trip from Leh. With its moonlike landscape, sometimes called the moonscape, Lamayuru is captivating and divine. Lamayuru is known for its 11th century monastery situated at a height of 3510 metres but the rugged landscape, odd geographical formations and picturesque views make Lamayuru a unique destination for tourists. The annual festival known as Yuru Kabgyat is the major attraction of Lamayuru monastery.
