ECONOMIC REVIEW – 2014-15
Irrespective of the peculiar geographical location, Arctic and cold desert climate and very low status of precipitation, the Economy of the District Leh is agro base and rural oriented and is the main stay of the local population. Most of the working population of the district is engaged in agriculture and livestock activities. While publishing the Economic Review of the district for the year 2014-15, efforts have been made to unfold the economic background of the district and the strategy evolved for overall economic development.
